I think it's safe to say a nice big, filling and nutritious smoothie is my favorite way to start the day. Its my way of being able to squeeze in all my elixirs, healthy fats, greens and protein all in one yummy drink. The combinations out there are endless so Ill be sharing a tonne of different varieties with you over the course of the summer but I thought I'd start with a classic green smoothie.

This combo is great for those trying to reduce their carb/sugar intake but still want a nice thick smoothie.

I use a combination of frozen cauliflower, avocado and just half a frozen banana to get that thick creamy consistency we all love.

What you'll need:

  • 1/2 banana (cut into coins and frozen)

  • 1/2 medium avocado

  • 3/4 c pre steamed then frozen cauliflower

  • 1 big handful organic spinach

  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds (or protein powder of your choice)

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • Optional extras for more nutrition - 1 tsp matcha, 1 scoop of marine collagen (I get both of mine from WithinUs

What to do:

  • Simply throw all your ingredients into a high powered blender

  • Whizz on high until all smooth and creamy

  • Enjoy x
